Legal Considerations
Is e-Invoicing Legal?
Yes, electronic invoicing is totally legal throughout Europe. The European Directive of 20th December 2001 established the rules of application for electronic invoicing for European Union member states. As required, each member state implemented these rules into national law by 1st January 2004.
The B2Boost platform complies with the specific rules of the different member states and will remain as such. Any changes or adjustments can be immediately implemented if required.
In addition, B2Boost is a member of CEN (European Committee for Standardization) and, as an active participant of the CEN e-Invoicing project, contributes to the development, promotion and standardization of electronic invoicing in Europe.
